Flag Size Guide & Pole Chart
Not sure which flag size is right for your display? Use this guide to quickly choose the best size for your pole or setup. Great for retailers, event companies, and wholesale buyers stocking popular sizes.
Quick Rule of Thumb
Typically, the shorter side of your flag should be no more than half the height of your pole. For example, a 3x5ft flag is usually the largest flag you want to use on a 6ft pole.

Not all flags are flown on poles. These sizes are also very common for retail and wholesale orders:
- 12x18 in – stick flags, parades, desk displays
- Garden flags – outdoor seasonal décor (with garden stands)
- Car flags – vehicle windows and event use
Wholesale Stocking Tip
For most retailers, the best-selling sizes to stock are 3x5 ft and 2x3 ft, plus seasonal add-ons like garden flags and 12x18 in stick flags. These cover the majority of customer demand year-round.
